Warranty Guide for Your Shokz Open Ear Headphones

8 min

Shokz headphones generally come with a complimentary two-year warranty in most regions on new products purchased from authorized Canadian retailers. Refurbished headphones are typically covered by a one-year warranty. While a warranty is a feature we hope you rarely need to use, it is certainly helpful information to have on hand. The Shokz warranty policy is designed to cover manufacturer defects, such as a single working transducer or battery-related issues. Please note that it does not cover misuse, abuse, or theft.

Because our certified manufacturing facilities take extensive steps to maintain quality control, receiving faulty bone conduction headphones is an infrequent occurrence, though occasional issues may arise.

Here are a few common scenarios the warranty typically covers, and a few that it does not:

You’re Covered!

  • Your headphones are not charging properly.

  • Your headphones experience significantly reduced battery life (e.g., powering down after 20 minutes).

  • Your headband experiences a crack, provided it has not been subjected to misuse or abuse.

  • Your power button detaches, provided it has not been subjected to misuse or abuse.

  • Your multifunction button stops responding as intended.

  • You experience static or crackling audio that is not resolved by a manual reset.

  • You experience microphone issues that are not resolved by a manual reset.

Ehhh... Not So Much

  • Your family pet mistook your headphones for a delectable neon green chew toy.

  • Your headphones felt so light and natural that you forgot you had them on when diving into a pool (unless you are wearing the OpenRun or OpenSwim models, of course—then no worries, they are waterproof!).

  • Curiosity got the better of you, leading you to disassemble your headphones, resulting in improper function.

Please use this link to submit your warranty claim. After your claim is reviewed, we will typically provide you with a prepaid return shipping label to send back your Shokz device. Once we receive them, we will send out a replacement pair. The warranty for your replacement pair will seamlessly continue from your original date of purchase.
